After the fierce attacks that Israel and Palestine exchanged on Tuesday, the Palestinian side claimed that the adversaries agreed on a ceasefire.
According to Al Jazeera, the Hamas militants accepted the ceasefire so as to restore the status quo as it was before this latest military escalation. Egypt played as a mediator in the negotiation; however, Israel did not confirm or deny the piece of information about the ceasefire.

On November 12, Hamas militants launched more than 80 missiles at southern regions of Israel from the territory of Gaza Strip, The Jerusalem Post wrote.
60 rockets were intercepted by Israeli air defense system Iron Dome. Most rockets fell in open areas. Three rockets hit the buildings in the city of Netivot in southern Israel, including a public building. A bus was hit by a rocket in Sderot.
Israel reacted in no time, landing an air strike on Hamas objects in the Gaza Strip.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry condemned the violent act by Hamas, warning it could lead to a possible military escalation.
