The regulatory committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) accepted the resolution that allows the impeachment of the PACE president, PACE vice-president, the chairmen of the committees and substitutes. Volodymyr Ariev, the Chairperson of the Ukrainian delegation in the PACE reported this at Facebook.
‘The regulatory committee of the PACE just accepted the resolution that allows the impeachment of the PACE president, PACE vice-president, the chairmen of the committees and substitutes. The voting in the Assembly will take place on June 27. It is a very important step for overcoming the crisis that was caused by the irresponsible behavior of Pedro Argamunt, the PACE President’, Ariev reported.
Pedro Argamunt was present during the session of PACE Bureau in Prague on May 29, despite the prearrangement with political groups of the Assembly that he will submit resignation.
The PACE Bureau passed a non-confidence motion against Pedro Argamunt. The Bureau made a ruling that Agramunt is not authorized for official visits or public announcements on behalf of the Assembly’s President.
Earlier, Russian mass media reported that the delegations of Russian diplomats and PACE MPs arrived with Argamunt to Syria.
