The Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) made the decision to consider the changes to the regulations that will allow dismissing the President of Assembly Pedro Agramunt. This decision was made at the session of the Bureau in Strasbourg on June 26 by a margin of one voice as the European Truth reports.
'According to partakers of the session, the emotional discussion preceded it. The range of lawmakers opposed the decision because it de-facto implements the measure for the things he did before the changes to the regulations or post factum', the message said.
Agramunt withheld from the comments to the press. After the private session he just left the hall and passed to his cabinet, pretending not to hear the questions of the journalists.
As known, PACE is in the critical situation. The lawmakers passed the no-confidence motion against Pedro Agramunt due to his cooperation with Russia and visit to Syria.
Agramunt was present at the Bureau PACE session in Prague on May 29 despite the preliminary agreement with Assembly's political groups that he will submit the resignation.
The Bureau PACE passed the no-confidence motion against Pedro Agramunt on April 28. At the session it decreed that Agramunt has no right for any official visits, attend the sessions or to utter any public declarations on behalf of the Assembly as its President.
Earlier, the Russian mass media reported that the delegations of the Russia and PACE lawmakers with Agramunt arrived to Syria. However, the member of the Agramunt's delegation in Syria wants to remain the reporter on Ukraine in PACE.
