Yuriy Molod, the owner and director of Southern Airlines, the bankrupt air company continues to breach international sanctions. The businessman is responsible for organizing, funding and controlling the maintenance of planes and engines of Green Flag, the Sudanese air company.

UNN news agency reports that, citing the investigation by Obozrevatel outlet; they looked into a disaster of flight from Odesa to Donetsk in 2013, when five football fans lost their lives.

The planes that belong to Green Flag company are piloted by Ukrainian citizens and employed in special operations by Sudanese Defense Ministry.

One of these planes, An-74 ST-BDT arrived in Odesa in December 2020. There is no information about any official permissions for this Sudanese plane to arrive in Ukraine and stay here. The aircraft remains beyond the zone of border and customs control, at Odesa aviation plant that belongs to Ukroboronprom state-run concern.

"Molod managed to bring to Ukraine this aircraft, which allegedly belongs to Wallpoint Overseas L. P., to leave it for technical maintenance of his company in Ukraine (BCA Engineering) and to perform several illegal operations to sell it to other companies. Law enforcement agencies opened several criminal cases based on these legal relations",

Until December 2020, all Sudanese and Angolan planes that Molod's group took care of came to Ukraine with faked IDs and without any permissions from the State Service of Export Control of Ukraine.

"Hundreds of documents and letters show that Molod broke the international and Ukrainian law, repeatedly organizing, funding and controlling the maintenance of An-72 military planes in Ukraine; he also controlled the repair works of enginers that belong to the Defense Ministry of Angola brought to Ukraine as civilian vessels, with the use of fake IDs", the investigation says.

Besides, technical maintenance of these planes was conducted by Molod's company that has no access to run any operation regarding the planes of such kind. The planes were piloted by Ukrainian citizens who don't have such access to military planes, either.

In his operations, Molold uses a network of both Ukrainian and offshore foreign companies.
