More than 76% of beds, deployed for patients with Covid-19, are supplied with oxygen. This was announced by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov during a briefing.
It is noted that 66,000 beds are reserved in medical institutions, 55,409 of them are provided with oxygen (76.4%).
"The number of free beds with oxygen is 34,987. Almost 35,000. I would like to remind you that 22,802 patients are being treated in hospitals at this moment," Stepanov said.
As we reported earlier, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, vaccination against Covid-19 with the vaccine produced by Sinovac Biotech will be conducted only after it is registered.
"All countries all over the world do it, with all vaccines: they make contracts on certain volumes [of vaccine] as soon as it's clear it's going to be an efficient drug. And supplies and inoculations will kick off immediately after the official procedures are over so that no precious time is lost," he noted.
