Over 60 people detained at protests in Belarus, among them journalists

During the protest actions in Minsk, the security forces have already detained more than 60 people including journalists. This was reported by the Belarusian human rights organization Viasna.

“On Saturday, September 26, detentions will continue throughout Belarus. Viasna is collecting lists of detainees and facts of persecution for political reasons,” the statement says.

According to human rights activists, today the security forces detained participants in the "Run of the free" to support political prisoners Maksim Znak and Ilya Saliy. Two participants of the race were detained, now their names are being specified. Previously, they were taken to a pre-trial detention center in Akrestsin Street.

The arrests were also carried out during a women's march near Komarovsky market. In addition to the protesters, the security forces also detained bystanders.
