As of 2 a.m. October 12, names of 527 people are on the list; it keeps growing, activists say.
Most of the detentions took place in Minsk. Some people were apprehended in Bobrusik, Grodno, Soligorsk, Brest, Mogilev, Gomel, Vitebsk and Lida.
As is known, on October 11, the Belarusian police apprehended members of March of Dignity, using water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Pushkinskaya metro station in Minsk was closed at the entrance and exit. Also people there were dispersed using water cannons. However, in Minsk protests continue, despite attempts by security officials to disperse people.
Later, a video of the brutal beating of people in Minsk, who are beaten with truncheons and kicked by "law enforcement officers" appeared on the network.
Several countries recalled their ambassadors from Belarus.
