Thousands of citizens peacefully marched through the center of Minsk on a cool, overcast day carrying the banned red-and-white flag of the opposition.
However, detentions continue. Thus, the list of detainees, which is constantly updated, consists of 242 people.
The overwhelming majority were detained in Minsk, but there are also detainees in Vitebsk, Brest, Grodno, Gomel, and other cities.
As it was reported earlier, a protest action called Partisan March took place on October 18. Protesters in Belarus demanded the resignation of incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko, as well as an end to violence from the side of security forces and the release of political prisoners.
