New violations by Donbas militants were revealed by the OSCE. Near the settlement of Kalynovo-Borshchevate (Luhansk region(, two extensions of the existing trenches were noticed. This was reported by the Joint Forces Operation headquarters.
The length of the trenches is 180 and 200 meters.
"The Ukrainian side of the JCCC notes that such facts clearly indicate a violation of the Minsk agreements and the agreements reached on July 22, 2020, within the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group on measures to strengthen the ceasefire regime, in particular, paragraph 1 on the prohibition of offensive and reconnaissance and sabotage actions," the message reads.
The militants continue to break the ceasefire and are equipping fortifications.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the situation in Donbas with the OSCE Chairman, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, and expressed hope that the ceasefire regime would be preserved. The presidential press service reports.
Zelensky also drew the attention of the Prime Minister of Albania to the enemy shelling that was recorded in the Donbas on September 6 and 10.
“Yesterday, literally during my telephone conversation with Chancellor Angela Merkel, militants opened fire on Ukrainian positions near the village of Shumy, on the area where the meeting of the JCCC and OSCE representatives was to take place. And the difference between these shots and the previous ones was that they were aimed. We do not want a new escalation. After all, on September 6, as a result of the hostile provocation, we have already suffered losses - one representative of Ukraine's armed forces was killed, another one was wounded,” Volodymyr Zelensky.
