OSCE Head supports initiatives of Kuchma at Minsk Talks

Such initiatives may change the pace of the conflict so the OSCE counts that all sides of the conflict will support them

Head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Slovakian Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak supported the initiatives of second president of Ukraine, Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk Leonid Kuchma as Ukrainian News reported.

“We welcome the new atmosphere of the Trilateral Contact Group and four initiatives offered by Kuchma,” Lajcak said.

He noted that the mentioned initiatives may change the pace of the conflict so the OSCE counts that they will be supported by all sides.

One of the initiatives proposed by Kuchma is the ban to respond to the provocation attacks carried from the territories with the civilian objects.

Lajcak also welcomed the promise of President Volodymyr Zelensky to do everything possible to return peace to Ukraine.

As we reported the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas will discuss lifting the economic blockade from the separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions at the next session. According to the OSCE Special Representative, the lifting of the blockade could become the “great breakthrough”.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine commented on the idea of a possible lifting of the economic blockade from occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He said that trade with occupied Donbas without registration and taxes means the financing of the terrorism.
