U.S. Army, if necessary, will take measures to protect Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, who is testifying against U.S. President Donald Trump in the impeachment case, Reuters reports.
It is emphasized that Vindman is a key witness in a public hearing on Trump's attempts to influence the Ukrainian government to investigate his political rival, Former Vice President Joe Biden.
It is worth mentioning that Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman earlier stated that he had received a proposal to fill the post of the Secretary of Defense of Ukraine from ex-Secretary of National Security and Defence Council Oleksandr Danylyuk.
As we reported earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted he will “strongly consider” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s suggestion over the weekend that he testifies in the House of Representatives' impeachment inquiry, CNN informed.
Pelosi said this weekend in a CBS interview that Trump has "every opportunity to present his case" before Congress, and could "take the oath of office or he could do it in writing".
Trump decided to respond to Pelosi's suggestion.
