Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova reported Thursday that she had received 22 appeals from Russian citizens imprisoned in Ukraine to Russian President Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to return them to Russia by exchanging for Ukrainian political prisoners. This was stated by the press service of Ombudsman.

"Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will deliver all 22 appeals by diplomatic mail to the Russian President administration," the message said.

As it was reported earlier, another three citizens of Russia in the detention facilities in Ukraine wrote the claims to President of Russia Vladimir Putin with the request to exchange them for the Ukrainian political prisoners detained in Russia.

On August 14, Russians Alexander Sattarov and Farukh Kamalov who were arrested in Ukraine, asked the Russian authorities to exchange them for Ukrainian political prisoners

A day later eight Russians kept in the places of detention filed applications to the Russian President with a request to get them back to the Russian territory by exchanging one of the Ukrainian political prisoners.
