Dear friends! New problems that have befallen our fellow citizens do not leave me indifferent, forcing away the holiday mood. And here is why. I really love our Carpathians, we come here very often, spend the weekend with the whole family.
But every month the bird's-eye views, the views of my native Carpathians are becoming more and more terrible. I am really afraid that soon nothing will be left of the thick Carpathian forests. Timber is cut down without hesitation day and night because now it is legal to export round timber.
In addition, people switch to wood heating after recent increase in gas and electricity prices. The roads are being destroyed by multi-ton timber trucks, and new sawmills are growing like mushrooms...
Dear people, dear brothers and sisters, tell me, what should we do to stop this? Who will protect our forests, rivers, lakes, and who will protect the future of the country? They also can cry... Tell me, where is our dignity and mercy?
