The head of the Central Election Committee (CEC) Mykhaylo Okhendovsky states that no one has ever approached him on the matter of registration of the candidate Oleksandr Onyshchenko. This was announced during his communication with journalists, broadcasted by the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“No one has ever approached me on the matter of registration of the candidate Oleksandr Onyshchenko. When he applied his documents to the CEC for the second time, he did entered my cabinet. He never cited anybody, as there was no need in this. He simply said that he realized his mistake while applying for the first time, and applied another set of documents for the second time. He asked when he the consideration by the CEC is to be expected. I replied that the case will be considered within the legal period, which is not later than five days after their application. I never gave any reply regarding the future of is documents as the issue shall be solved by all members of the CEC and not by its head solely, which actually happened further,” said the head of the CEC.
Earlier, the runaway deputy Oleksandr Onyshchenko in his interview to Hromadske said that despite the refusal of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to register him and the refusal of two courts, he was able to resolve the issue after contacting Davyd Zhvania. During the parliamentary elections Zhvania was one of the authorities of the election headquarters of the PPB and according to Onyshchenko he performed special assignments of the President.
