All obstacles for holding of Normandy Four leaders meeting were lifted at the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk as Darka Olifer, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Representative Leonid Kuchma, reported on Facebook.

“Today, at the session of the Trilateral Contact Group, all obstacles were lifted for the holding of the meeting in Normandy Format at the highest level. The disengagement of forces and equipment in Zolote, Petrovske and Stanytsia Luhanska became the last step in this direction,” Olifer noted.

Besides, the statement noted that the holding of the meeting of the leaders of Normandy Four countries in the near future will accelerate the solution of all relevant issues on conflict settlement.

“As the session of the humanitarian subgroup did not take place today in Minsk due to technical reason, the Ukrainian side insisted on holding of the videoconference of this subgroup on November 13,” Olifer concluded.

Earlier Russia considered the possibility of participation in the Normandy Format summit after signing of Steinmeier formula by the Ukrainian side. The disengagement of forces in three areas should precede the implementation of Steinmeier formula.

The disengagement of forces took place in Stanytsia Luhanska and Zolote, Luhansk regions.

On November 9, the disengagement of forces started in Petrovske, Donetsk region.

On November 10, the mass media reported that the Normandy Four meeting at the highest level may take place on November 24 or 26.
