“The Russian aggression explicitly violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the independent European state. And it evokes concern among our allies in Eastern Europe, threatening our vision of united, free and peaceful Europe. It seems the Russian aggression threatens progress that has been reached since the end of the Cold War”, Obama said as quoted by UNIAN.

The U.S. leader visited Hannover on April 24 in order to hold negotiations with his German counterpart Angela Merkel. The two top-rank officials also jointly opened the Hannover Messe, the world's largest industrial technology trade fair.
