US President Barack Obama warns of financial and international hysteria about exit of UK from the European Union. He stated this in an interview with an American radio station NPR.

"I believe that it is best to treat this as a pause in the project of full European integration. I would not overestimate it." - Obama said.

He noted that Brexit has provoked a small hysteria. “They say that NATO is dead, transatlantic solidarity is falling apart and the country run to their corners. This is not happening” - Says the president of the USA.

Obama has previously said that he respects the choice made by the British on the referendum on membership in the EU.
