On September 13, more than 400 people were detained during protest actions in Minsk. This is reported by the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

In the Vitebsk region, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 14 protesters were detained today. Human rights activists also report on detentions in Grodno, Brest, Soligorsk, Bobruisk, Mogiliov. There are also journalists among the detainees.

As reported, the March of Heroes, which took place in Minsk today, was attended by at least 100 000 people. Security officials also fired shots into the air. In Brest, security forces used water cannons against protesters.

In Minsk, security officials obstructed the movement of demonstrators to the elite cottage village Drozdy, where the country's leadership lives. Riot police blocked the road near the Arena City shopping center. There are about 10 paddy wagons, to which the security forces are already taking the detainees, Interfax reports.

Security officials also fired shots into the air. As the agency explains, this happened after "one of the thousands of columns gathered near the cordon and the number of protesters began to grow rapidly." There is no information about the nature of the weapons and the victims.

Mobile Internet is disabled in the capital of Belarus. Correspondent of the Belsat TV channel Artiom Lyava has been detained in Minsk, reports the Belsat Telegram channel.
