The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) declares a data leak from the websites of state resources and critical infrastructure resources, which may threaten their security. This is stated in a message on the NSDC website.
"Specialists of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine found in DarkNet a published list of almost 3 million sites that use the Cloudflare service to protect against DDoS and a number of other cyber attacks," the message reads.
It is noted that Cloudflare provides network services to hide true IP addresses to mitigate DDoS attacks, the operation of security services on the Internet, and services of a distributed domain name server.
"The published list contains real IP-addresses of sites, which creates threats of attacks directed at them. In particular, among such addresses, there are 45 entries with the gov.ua domain and more than 6.5 thousand with the ua. domain, in particular, resources, belonging to critical infrastructure facilities," the message says.
The NSDC stated that the information regarding some of the resources is outdated, but the other part remains relevant. The main cybersecurity entities have been informed about the threat. The owners of all affected resources are notified.
"The owners of compromised resources are advised, if possible, to promptly change the IP addresses of hosting web resources and strengthen monitoring of cyberattacks on these resources," the NSDC advised.
Earlier, July 22, the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union approved the introduction of new sanctions against Russia and China for carrying out cyber attacks.
