Novi Yarylovychi entry-exit checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border resumed work after a temporary shutdown. The press office of the State Border Guard of Ukraine reported that on March 3.
"Ukraine-Belarus border checkpoint Novi Yarylovychi restored its work completely", the authority says.
The problem was gone by 2.55 p.m. Tuesday, the digital database resumed work, and currently, it works as scheduled.
The failure occurred at about 1 a.m. March 3. Issues with a digital customs database caused the amassment of vehicles on both sides of the border.
Earlier, Ukraine and Hungary discussed opening a new checkpoint on the common border. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijártó stated that after the meeting with Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine's Vice Premier on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. “In March, in Budapest, we will hold a bilateral session of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation. We would like to achieve success at these talks in March and agree on the construction of at least one checkpoint at the border,” Szijjártó said.
