Norwegian foreign minister to visit Donbas conflict zone on September 5

Ine Soreide, Norway's foreign minister will arrive in Donbas conflict area on Wednesday, September 5. Pavlo Klimkin, her Ukrainian counterpart said that as quoted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

'I told the minister about the latest events. Tomorrow, she will have an opportunity to see it with her own eyes (...) Nothing can substitute that emotion you feel when you look at the damage and devastation caused by the Russian terrorist forces in Donbas, when you speak to those living there - facing the shooting almost every night', he said.

He added that the Norwegian official announced some extra assistance for Ukraine from her country.

'Norway has been supporting us in every area', he said.

Earlier, Klimkin stated that Ukraine actively develops cooperation with certain Norwegian companies in the area of renewable energy.'We start working with a number of Norwegian companies, which come here to build facilities in the area of renewable energy. It is about very serious investments, 300-400 million Euros in the solar and the wind energy,' Klimkin said. He also expressed hope that soon more Norwegian investors will join the Ukrainian projects.
