Norwegian ambassador checks operation of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint in Donbas

A foreign delegation of Norwegian diplomats came to the government-held section of Luhansk region. Ole Terje Horpestad and members of the Norwegian Council for Refugees Affairs came there to inspect the operation of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint. The Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Facebook. 

The delegation visited the only checkpoint working in Luhansk region, studied the order of crossing the division line, the level of passenger flow and other specifics of this checkpoint.

Serhiy Sokolovsky, the first deputy head of Lysychansk border guard unit informed the foreign delegation on the current situation in the humanitarian corridor over the division line in Donbas.

He added that thanks to international cooperation, the checkpoint was reconstructed; that allowed increasing the number of jobs for improvement of passport control quality and speed up the entry-exit operations. This, in turn, cut down the queues at the checkpoints, improved the public safety level and reduce the duration of control procedures.
