Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a meeting of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries - Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany - will take place, but will be preceded by at least one more meeting of their advisers. This is reported by Ukrinform, referring to Zelensky's statement during his working trip to Odesa.
"Meetings in the Normandy format continue. And if the advisers meet, and I already know the result, then a meeting of the leaders will be planned. They did not discuss all the issues, did not put an end to many issues. Therefore, there will be another meeting of advisers", said Zelensky.
The guarantor noted that the most important issue is the observance and extension of the ceasefire. He stressed that there was no such long-term observance of it, as now, during all these years of war in the east.
"If we are talking about the implementation of the Minsk agreements, if we are moving towards peace in the east of our country, then the first and foremost question is the observance of the ceasefire. This means that our guys will not die," he added.
Negotiations of the advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries took place yesterday, on September 11. During the negotiations, it was agreed to extend the ceasefire in Donbas.
