"It's nonsense... you won't see it happen". This is how Ruslan Ryaboshapka, the Deputy Head of the Office of President of Ukraine described the situation with the alleged resignation of Andriy Bohdan. UNIAN news agency quoted him as saying.
Thursday evening, Bohdan, the chief of this office was reported to have filed a resignation letter. Many Ukrainian media spread this as news, referring to an unnamed source in the office. However, no official confirmation followed.
Ryaboshapka said that the media are spreading this rumour for a purpose.
Press office of president Volodymyr Zelensky refused to comment on the "resignation".
When the-then candidate Volodymyr Zelensky announced he would run for presidency during the 2019 election, Bohdan became the legal counselor of his campaign. Head of the Office has chaired the authority since May 21; he has not confirmed the information about this resignation yet.
Andriy Bohdan is the ex-lawyer of Ihor Kolomoisky, the famous Ukrainian oligarch; president Zelensky himself is a business partner of Kolomoisky.
