There are no Ukrainians among the detained or injured citizens during the protests in Kazakhstan. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported that on Tuesday as cited by Suspilne.

The authority says that some 150 Ukrainians turned to the embassy in Kazakhstan, asking to send them home.

"At the same time, due to the gradual stabilization of the security situation, some compatriots report changes in their plans and decide to stay in Kazakhstan. International air communication with Nur-Sultan is fully restored with the exception of some flights of European airlines. On January 13 and 16 scheduled regular flights to Kiev, which can take advantage of our citizens", said press secretary of the Ministry Oleh Nikolenko

The official added that diplomats made a deal with Air Astana company, agreeing on an opportunity of free rebooking of tickets for cancelled flights from Almaty to new flights from Nur-Sultan.

"We recommend that Ukrainians who prefer to use this option check free places and flight dates from Nur-Sultan", he said.
