Thousands of protesters gathered near the Office of the President of Ukraine. They stand against the disengagement of forces in Donbas, chanting "No to surrender".
The rally participants treat the disengagement as a withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from its positions. The rally began with the slogan: "The surrender began today. It's a withdrawal, not the disengagement of forces".
People keep chanting "Disgrace!", "Glory to Ukraine!" and "No to surrender!". Some hold Ukraine's national flags and posters; one of these reads as follows: "She is 28. She's definitely not a fool", which must be a clear reference to Ukraine and President Zelenskly's recent statement: "I'm 42, and I'm not a fool". He said so when talking to armed volunteers in Zolote.
Rally participants demand to open a criminal proceeding against the top-rank officials that approved the disengagement.
Earlier on October 29, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko and Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that the process of disengagement of forces in Donbas has begun.
