No reason to cancel sanctions against Russia, - Merkel

The EU does not have enough grounds to cancel sanctions against Russia. According to the German Chancellor, there is not enough progress to discontinue the restriction measures, and the EU came to conclusion that 'one has to do everything possible for Minsk process to proceed,' Interfax quoted her as saying.

Merkel admitted that the warring sides managed to avoid any further escalation in eastern Ukraine. 

Previously, the European Council President Donald Tusk claimed that the EU leaders agreed to continue the sanctions against Russia.
