The United States and the Russian Federation cannot come to terms when it comes to bringing UN peacekeepers to Donbas. Volodymyr Yelchenko, Ukraine’s permanent representative in the UN said this in an exclusive commentary for 112 Ukraine TV channel.

‘We and our partners insist that peacekeeping forces be deployed along the entire territory, which is currently non-controlled by the Ukrainian government. Russia, on the other hand, insists that the peacekeepers remain stationed only along the division line – which, of course, leads to further freezing of the conflict. This is a principal and major point, but that’s exactly where the U.S. and Russia can’t come to terms,’ the Ukrainian diplomat said.
