“As for today, the alternatives to Minsk Agreements are not prepared. But of the leaders will come and say – we are ready for it – this point is possibly outdated and this one is not viable, let’s reformulate it; the leaders do it sometimes,” Prystaiko said.
He supposed that the change and updating of some points of Minsk Agreements may take place.
“Nobody may ban the leaders from the recognition that in five years Minsk Agreements did not show their survivability; did not bring peace to Ukraine because they should be adapted. There are things, which should be adapted because all time limits were missed. And the leaders should say: let’s calmly, without nerves, see, nobody changes anything, refuses from anything but these points should be changed, adapted to the reality,” the minister stated.
Earlier Macron stated that the leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine will meet in Paris on December 9 to intensify the efforts on the search for the peaceful settlement of Donbas Conflict.
On November 12, Darka Olifer, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Representative Leonid Kuchma, reported that all obstacles for holding of Normandy Four leaders meeting were lifted at the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk.
Earlier Russia considered the possibility of participation in the Normandy Format summit after signing of Steinmeier formula by the Ukrainian side. The disengagement of forces in three areas should precede the implementation of Steinmeier formula.
The disengagement of forces took place in Stanytsia Luhanska and Zolote, Luhansk regions.
On November 9, the disengagement of forces started in Petrovske, Donetsk region.
On November 10, the mass media reported that the Normandy Four meeting at the highest level may take place on November 24 or 26.
