Iryna Venedyktova, who was appointed as the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, revealed his priorities at the new position as 112 Ukraine reported.
The new prosecutor general plans to hold the audit of the cases and personnel state of the prosecutor’s office.
“You know that 226 prosecutors stand at the threshold. There are judicial decisions on restoration of 400 lustrated prosecutors who were dismissed in the autumn. That is why it is necessary to make very important and legal decisions to continue the reform of the prosecutor’s office without distortion and to enable the work of the prosecutor’s office after the implementation of absolutely legal procedural decisions,” Venedyktova said.
She added that it is necessary to coordinate the work of the State Investigation Bureau, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine as there are investigations of the cases on the same proceedings.
