The European Parliament will support the future president of Ukraine in terms of continuation and enforcement of reforms, specifically those against corruption and poverty. Rebecca Harms, the member of the European Parliament said this April 23.
'We're sure that the newly elected president is fully aware of his commitments. Conducting these reforms, he can surely rely on the support of the European Union. As European Council President Donald Tusk said yesterday, the future president of Ukraine can count on the decisive support of the EU on the way of reforming the country and preserving the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine', Harms said.
She added that the reform program should be conducted willingly and in close cooperation along with other state authorities, including the Ukrainian Parliament.
