The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz, who became the Chairman of the OSCE this year, arrived to Ukraine. Today he and the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin went to Mariupol to observe the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements and the situation in the region. This was reported by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry in Twitter.
Pavlo Klimkin and Sebastian Kurz will discuss efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The meeting of both ministers with the authorities of local and regional administration and members of the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE is also planned.
Earlier it was reported that Austria became a new head of OSCE after Germany. Austria intends to deal with existing conflicts, to restore inter-state trust and fight radicalization.
