The Netherlands will renew hearings in the MH17 downing case that took place in July 2014 in Donbas as the court’s press service reported on Twitter.

The demands of compensation for the relatives will become one of the main issues of the discussion. The court plans to hear the defense concerning the demands of further inquiry.

As we reported earlier, the Netherlands is considering the possibility of other states joining the process against the Russian Federation at the ECHR in the case of a downed passenger plane of flight МН17.

Earlier, the world marked the sixth anniversary of the downing of Boeing 777, the passenger aircraft of Malaysian Airlines, known as flight MH17.

The plane was destroyed while performing a regular flight from the Netherlands to Malaysia in July 2014. The tragedy took place in the sky over the militant-held section of the Donetsk region, not far from Snizhne town. All 298 people aboard deceased; most of the victims, 196, were Dutch, but there were citizens of another nine countries as well.
