Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands made a decision to expel two employees of the Russian Embassy who were suspected in espionage in the high technology sphere as Deutsche Welle reported.

“Both intelligence officers have been declared 'persona non grata'”, the message said.

Two Russian diplomats suspected in espionage have two weeks to leave the country.

The Russian Embassy confirmed the provision of the note of the Dutch Foreign Ministry as TASS reported. Meanwhile, the Russian diplomatic service stated the absence of any evidence of illicit actions of its employees in the territory of the Kingdom and they were not provided by the Dutch side.

The embassy stated that Moscow would assume retaliatory and adequate measures.

According to the Dutch Interior Ministry, the activity of two employees of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia was terminated by the Netherlands' General Intelligence and Security Service.

Earlier, the Bulgarian government ousted two Russian diplomats suspected of espionage. A worker of the Russian embassy in Sofia and the employee of the trade office left the territory of the country.
