"The new good day" begins in relations between Israel and the United States with the start of Donald Trump's presidency. This was stated by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, reports The Times of Isreal.
"I should note that at the end of the meeting with the president, he shook my hand and determined the relationship between Israel and the US as a "new day". I must tell you that this is a new day, and it's a good day", he added.
This visit to the United States, Prime Minister described as "historic", and a union of the two countries - "more stronger."
Earlier, Netanyahu accused the US of anti-Israeli rhetoric.
As previously reported, on December 23 the UN Security Council adopted a resolution which stated that the establishment of Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory "has no legal force and is a flagrant violation of international law."
It was supported by 14 members of the Security Council, including Ukraine. The United States, which had previously blocked similar projects, abstained.
