The negotiations of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries were interrupted for the bilateral meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The press service of Zelesnky's office reports it.
“Currently, the meeting of the heads of the two states has begun. Later, negotiations will resume in the quadripartite format,” the President’s office said.
As we reported, Putin and Zelensky met in Paris as part of the Normandy Quartet meeting. The peace negotiations, known as the Normandy format, started back in 2014. The last Normandy Four meeting took place in October 2016, the roadmap on establishing peace in Ukraine was elaborated, however, the parties failed to fulfill it.
