According to the publication, about a thousand people, including journalists, gathered at the meeting. 742 people voted in favor of Navalny (according to Russian legislation, a self-nominated candidate should gather at least 500 people's signs).
Such initiative groups on the nomination of Navalny for presidency are meeting in many cities of the country today. So, the nomination process has already been completed by groups in Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg and Perm.
In total, meetings are planned in 20 cities of Russia.
Earlier the Russian election commitee already warned that Navalny will not be registered as a candidate because of a criminal record. The politician himself is trying to protest this ban.
