Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny stated that he planned to return to Russia as soon as he had recovered. It was reported by The New York Times.
According to the newspaper, Navalny has spoken to a German prosecutor about the attempt on his life. The official confirmed Navalny's "stable" mental condition.
“He is fully aware of his condition, he is fully aware of what happened, and he is fully aware of where he is,” the statement said.
As of now, Navalny remains heavily guarded by German police.
As we reported earlier, yesterday, on September 14, the German doctors disconnected Alexei Navalny from the artificial lung ventilation.
Doctors claim that Navalny's condition continues to improve steadily. It was also reported that he was capable of getting out of the hospital bed for a short period of time.
On the morning of August 20, Alexei Navalny was returning to Moscow from Tomsk. During the flight, the politician became ill, because of which the plane made an emergency landing in Omsk. The Russian oppositionist was hospitalized in serious condition.
On August 21, doctors at the Omsk hospital allowed Navalny to be transported to Germany.
