The fact that the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Alliance is held in Tbilisi is very important and symbolic, the president noted.
According to Paolo Alli, this means that NATO and NATO Parliamentary Assembly firmly support Georgia and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Georgia. The events and processes in the region are important for Western countries.
“Georgia's stability is important not only for Georgia and the region but for all Western countries - what is happening in the region is important given Russia's aggressive behavior in Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova. These conflicts are a danger for all. So, we support Georgia and its territorial integrity, Russia must return to its officially recognized borders, and we are firmly committed to protecting and supporting Georgia in the development of democracy and Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” Alli said.
Earlier it was reported that NATO will keep supporting Ukraine considering Russian aggression. The issue of Crimea was discussed at the summit in Brussels.
