The National Guard of Ukraine, as part of the contract with Airbus Helicopters, will receive ten H225-type helicopters in 2021-2022. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"In accordance with the agreement between the Ukrainian and French governments, Airbus Helicopters and the Khoryv-Avia Ukrainian Aviation Transport Enterprise signed a contract for the supply of 12 H225-type helicopters for the needs of the National Guard during 2018-2022," the message says.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at an official meeting representatives of the National Guard and Airbus Helicopters considered the issue of delivering six aircraft in 2021 and sending two helicopters available in National Guard to Airbus Helicopters.
"This decision was made to carry out modernization with the aim of completing the helicopters that were transferred in advance," the Interior Ministry said.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine and France signed the contract to purchase 55 Airbus Helicopters for the State Emergency Service’s needs. The agreement was signed between Hennadii Bala, the Head of Khoryv-Avia, the Ukrainian Aviation enterprise and Bruno Even, the Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopter in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Ukraine plans to expand the number of the State Emergency Service aviation duty stations and create a unified aviation system until 2022.
