Naftogaz starts looking for independent members of supervisory board

A competitive selection for independent members of the Naftogaz Supervisory Board has been announced in Ukraine. This is stated on the Ministry of Economy website.

It is noted that the selection of independent members of the company's board will be carried out by a committee for the appointment of heads of enterprises that are especially important for the economy (the so-called Nomination Committee).

The announcement also contains requirements for applicants for the position of an independent member of the supervisory board, in particular regarding the required competencies and personal characteristics. Acceptance of documents from candidates will last until December 6, 2021.

As a reminder, on August 8, three independent members of the Naftogaz Supervisory Board resigned. We are talking about Lescoeur Bruno Jean Gaston, Ludo Van der Heyden and Spottiswoode Claire Mary Joan.

On September 8, it was reported that at NJSC Naftogaz, three independent members of the supervisory board had resigned due to the incompetence of General Director Yuri Vitrenko.

And at the end of September it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed members of Naftogaz of Ukraine Yulia Kovaliv, Natalia Boyko and Yulia Sviridenko. Thus, the functions of the supervisory board will be performed by the Cabinet.
