Nadiya Savchenko was selected preventive measure on July 13. She declared of the start of the indefinite hunger strike. Tetiana Protorchenko, Savchenko’s assistant published the information on Facebook.
‘I am declaring indefinite hunger strike because of unlawfulness and criminal acts of the judge Buhel, prosecutors Bannyk and Klymovych, detective Tomusiak who condemned me without lawyers, without giving me a chance to express my position in my own defense at the court hearing,’ Savchenko said.
Also, she claimed that she waives the examination of doctors during the strike.
‘I waive the medical supervision in SBU Temporary Detention Facility and generally in all penitentiary systems of Ukraine due to the lack of trust in the doctors who are serving to the criminal authorities of Ukraine,’ she added.
Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv city granted the request prosecutors on extending the preventive measure to Nadiya Savchenko of remand in custody until 10th of September, according to Ukrinform.
About ten present supporters of Savchenko started shouting ‘Shame!’, they shout down the reading of the Judgement right after they came back from the chambers. Shadrin, also, reported that the protection of Savchenko will launch an appeal and will turn into the European Court of Human Rights.
