MP Nadia Savchenko, former political prisoner, stated that her sister Vira Savchenko would be the head of the election headquarters of Social Political Platform of Nadia Savchenko and Tetiana Protorchenko would remain to be its spokesperson, as Ukrayinska Pravda reported.
“On July 21, we would enter the Verkhovna Rada, we become the MPs. All present here run on the lists of this party and run to win,” Savchenko said.
Later she announced a few names from majoritarian and list systems.
Savchenko added that the main aim, which they would try to implement in the Verkhovna Rada, would be to change of the political system.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially dissolved the Verkhovna Rada and appointed the snap elections for July 21. The Cabinet of Ministers should provide the financing of the elections.
On May 24, the electoral process kicked off in Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian legislation, the electoral process of snap elections begins on the next day after the President’s decree on early termination of the mandate of Verkhovna Rada and appointment of the new elections is published. Therefore, the electoral process starts on May 24, without Central Commission making any decisions.
