Ukraine's Parliament is to consider draft law No.5530 from May 20, 2021 "On condemnation of activity of radical Islamist organization HAMAS and consideration as a terrorist organization". The draft bill was developed by a number of Ukrainian MPs and successfully submitted for consideration by their fellow lawmakers.
The Ukrainian lawmakers are supposed to condemn HAMAS attacks on the territory of Israel, which led to deaths and injuries among civilians.
Besides, the Parliament is about to urge HAMAS and other Palestinian militants to cease all provocations and violent acts, including those with the use of missiles.
The MPs also will consider measures to avoid HAMAS actions in Ukraine.
In 2012, Palestine was recognized as the UN observer state. Ukraine supported that decision and recognized Palestine as sovereign state, supporting its aspiration for independence.
