A bill that provides for the liquidation of Ukroboronprom state enterprise was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. The corresponding document number No.10248 dated April 24, 2019 was published on the website of the Parliament.
Serhiy Pashynsky, Ivan Vynnyk, Tetiana Chornovil, Vadym Kryvenko, Andriy Levus, Andriy Teterev and Yury Bereza are indicated as initiators of the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts Concerning the Introduction of the Principles of Transparency and Publicity in the Sphere of Forming and Implementing the State Military-Industrial Policy”.
According to the authors of the document, the management of the Ukroboronprom group of companies is ineffective.
"This entails the inability to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in defense products, the loss of the investment attractiveness of enterprises, and abuses by state-owned officials, namely, in concluding contracts and transferring budget funds to business entities that have signs of fictitiousness", stated in the document.
The bill proposes to liquidate Ukroboronprom and reassign enterprises-participants of the concern to the central executive body. Also a special procedure for the liquidation of enterprises of the defense industry is spelled out in the text.
