Members of Servant of the People party and, specifically, MP Bohdan Yaremenko should not be threatening the journalists or fight with them; they should act so that the society has no questions for them. Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of Political Board of Opposition Platform - For Life party said this in his commentary for the press at the Ukrainian Parliament on Thursday.
"I think they (MPs from Servant of the People, - 112 International) all are wrong. Firstly, well, it is a threat against media representatives; secondly, such threats have no real grounds of what could be considered as a reason to bring anyone to the responsibility, including reporters. And thirdly, I assume one should not be threatening, criticizing or fighting it; one has to act the way it does not bring up any questions by reporters or the voters, and then, it will be perfectly normal", the MP said.
As is known, Bukvy outlet reported that MP Bohdan Yaremenko was chatting with a prostitute via an online dating service during the session of the Parliament. When the society learned about it, the MP initially said it was a deliberate provocation from his side. Then, the post disappeared, and another message emerged, in which the MP apologized to all who he could have hurt with this move.
Later, the reporters found out that Yaremenko was forced to apologize; it was Joker, the pranker who posed himself as Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka and contacted the MP, demanding to apologize. After that, Yaremenko threatened the journalists with criminal responsibility - for making the chat's screenshots public.
