"In general, I am a supporter of the legalization of everything that is possible... We had the sex industry, this is one of the most ancient professions, and the one who organizes it, the so-called pimps, is also in the black part of the economic spectrum. They make a profit. There is humiliation, there are elements of human trafficking. These elements must be removed," Tretyakova said.
The MP is convinced that when the sex industry operates in the legal field, the state can control it.
Tretyakova gave an affirmative answer to the question of whether sex workers need social protection.
"Of course. A person working in this area will then demand a pension from the state. If something happens to him or her, for example, an accident that leads to disability, and this requires supervision, social services will be connected. Social protection covers any citizen of Ukraine," explained Tretyakova.
