The Ukrainian Parliament should turn to President Petro Poroshenko, regarding the issue of moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The respective draft bill No.9107 has been registerted by MP Hanna Hopko, the head of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs.

Recently, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, the Palestinian ambassador in Russia assumed his country could recognize the annexed Crimea as part of Russia. Due to that fact, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry summoned the Plestinian ambassador to clear the matters in this regard.

In late 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump officially recognized Jerusalem the capital of Israel. The U.S. embassy in Israel opened there in May 2018, amidst the protests.

The EU recently claimed that Brussels would like to see Jerusalem the capital city of Israel and Palestine at the same time.
