The government awards from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for experts of the State Security Service (SBU) in the case of Viktor Medvedchuk should be considered as a bribe given by the current Ukrainian authorities to experts for knowingly wrong expert conclusions.
MP from the Opposition Platform – For Life Renat Kuzmin made such a statement at the talk show Ukraynsky Format at Pershiy Nezalezhniy TV.
The guest noted that in a case against MP of Ukraine, Chairman of Political Council of Opposition Platform - For Life Party Viktor Medvedchuk, the authorities firstly stated that the politician is guilty and later ordered the law enforcement system to come up with some crimes for him, then ordered the judicial system to arrest the opposition leader. Correspondingly, the SBU started to fulfill the order, while one of the stages was to fake some evidence of guilt of Viktor Medvedchuk.
“For this, the SBU used its controlled and subjected to the SBU Head Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise,” Renat Kuzmin said.
The MP noted that the SBU investigator, who illegally registered the case against Medvedchuk, ordered the Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise to hold a study of records of Medvedchuk’s talks (their source is unknown) and some written notes.
“And these experts…violating the demands of the law, I remind for people who do not know: the law bans to hold expert studies at the facilities or by experts who are subjected to the body that holds investigation. In other words, the law bans the SBU to hold studies at the Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. It is logic! However, the experts, knowing about the conflict of interests, that the law bans to hold such studies, held these pseudo-studies and issued knowingly false conclusions on the involvement of Medvedchuk in some crime imagined by the SBU,” the MP underlined.
