MP Honcharenko asks State Investigations Bureau to look into possible power abuse by Zelensky

He urges the authority to investigate the statement, in which he told Donald Trump that his candidate would get the office of Prosecutor General

Oleksiy Honcharenko, the MP from European Solidarity Party sent an address to the State Investigations Bureau (SBI). In it, he asks the Bureau to investigate the possible fact of power abuse by President Volodymyr Zelensky. It is about the statement, in which Zelensky told his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump that "his" candidate would get the office of Prosecutor General.

Honcharenko left the respective post on Facebook.

According to the MP, such a statement of the Ukrainian president contains traces of power abuse, which s a crime foreseen by Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.  

In the released phone conversation between Trump and Zelensky, the U.S. leader turned his colleague's attention to the postponed investigation against Hunter Biden, the son of ex-U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. In turn, Zelensky said that Trump only has friends in Ukraine, and the new Prosecutor General would get to this case.
